About the Instructor — Fineran CE

The most credentialed commercial
leasing instructor in Louisiana CE.

Everett Fineran is a Louisiana attorney and licensed real estate broker with nearly two decades of experience in commercial real estate transactions, corporate litigation, and regulatory practice. He currently serves as Assistant General Counsel of POOLCORP, a publicly traded S&P 500 company on the NASDAQ (ticker: POOL), where he directs commercial leasing and development strategy across more than 400 North American locations through its brokerage subsidiary Pool Development, LLC.

Before joining POOLCORP, Fineran spent twelve years as a partner at Frilot LLC in New Orleans, one of Louisiana's leading litigation firms, where he led the transactional practice and represented clients in complex commercial transactions, commercial litigation, and regulatory matters. He began his career as an associate at Chaffe McCall, LLP, representing clients in securities litigation, insurance coverage disputes, and complex commercial matters across Louisiana's state and federal courts.

Every course in this catalog is written by someone who has actually negotiated these deals — at scale, with real money on the line. That is not a common credential in continuing education.

— Everett R. Fineran, Esq.

From 2011 to 2018, Fineran served as an adjunct professor at Loyola University New Orleans College of Law, teaching Louisiana Civil Procedure and training the next generation of Louisiana attorneys in litigation strategy and procedural framework. He is a member of the editorial board of Esquire Books, Inc., where he serves as editor of legal textbooks covering civil procedure, dispute resolution, evidence, and criminal law, and co-authored Equity Research (2010) with Peter Ricchiuti.

About Fineran CE

Built on one standard: if it's in the course, it matters.

Fineran CE is the continuing education division of Everett R. Fineran, LLC. It offers LREC-approved online CE courses for Louisiana real estate licensees, focused on commercial leasing and commercial real estate practice.

Every course is written by Fineran personally and reflects current practice — not textbook descriptions of how deals work in theory. The catalog covers the specific knowledge gap between what agents learn in pre-licensing and what commercial transactions actually require.

Our Standard

If something is in the course, it matters. If it doesn't belong in a client conversation, it doesn't belong in the course.

01
Attorney-authored Every course is written by a licensed Louisiana attorney with 18+ years of transactional practice. Legal nuance is addressed directly, not avoided.
02
Practitioner-taught The instructor actively manages a 400-location commercial leasing portfolio. The examples are real. The scenarios are drawn from current transactions.
03
Louisiana-specific Every course covers the rules that differ between residential and commercial practice under Louisiana law — the eight things agents need to know that pre-licensing doesn't teach.
04
CDEI certified delivery Courses are designed and delivered by a Certified Distance Education Instructor, meeting ARELLO standards for distance learning quality and compliance.
